I think many mall people have a favorite developer. Mine is Crown American, mainly because I grew up going to the Logan Valley Mall (pictured here before it was renovated), but I love all of their designs from that late 70s/early 80s era. Most of the older malls were renovated in the 1990s, and some were tampered with more than others. I have had the most fun visiting some of these malls, viewing the smattering of old photos that can be found online, and trying to imagine these places as they once were.
If you can point me in the direction of photos of these malls, particularly the interiors, please let me know. Photos of many of these places have proven very elusive and I am dying to see what some of them were like!
